Howard Barsky graduated from Art center College of design in Los Angeles

where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Industrial Design.

For many years he practiced Product and Graphic design in a

Consultant office in Beverly Hills.  Subsequently he entered the retail

Trade where he produced and directed Radio and Television commercials.

In 1997, Howard began classes at Otis College (Los Angeles) in Life Drawing,

and then over the ensuing years took a series of classes with

different instructors at the  Kline Academy of Art in West Los Angeles,

where he refined his painting skills enough to produce most of the paintings you see here.


Howard retired in 2001, and now divides his time between his three passions…

Family, Painting and Argentine Tango.


Besides various solo shows in Southern California, San Francisco and Denver,

some of his floral paintings have been on display at the

Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) Art Rental & Sales gallery.


In 2011, one of Howard’s figurative paintings (Deanna 1) won “First Award”

In an exhibition in San Diego.

Besides the originals and prints sold here in the United States,

Originals and prints are in collections in France, Germany, Australia and Argentina.
